David studied at the University of Birmingham , becoming a chartered accountant before working in America. Working in finance, the type of companies Gill has worked for ranges from The BOC Group to Avis Rent A Car System. He served as vice-chairman of the G-14 management committee until the G-14 was disbanded. David then joined Manchester United PLC, one of the biggest football clubs in the world, in 1997 as finance director. In August 2000, he was promoted to deputy chief executive whilst retaining his responsibilities as finance director.
Then in 2005 David was promoted to Chief Executive. In May 2013, David Gill was elected to the UEFA Executive Committee at the 2013 UEFA Congress in London, where 53 member associations voted for candidates to fill eight seats.

Sir Tom founded Kwik-Fit in 1971 from which he resigned after the sale to Ford in 1999. He has a number of business interests which include property development and investments in new business start-ups.
His present appointments are: Honorary President – Young Enterprise Scotland, Honorary President of the Entrepreneurial Exchange, Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh and Non-executive Director of Scottish Power. Steven Bartlett has spoken publicly about how he spent nights sleeping on benches in London so he could attend business meetings when he had no money, and also resorted to shoplifting as he could not afford to eat.
Steven went on to create Social Chain. The company’s success is based on its ownership of hundreds of popular social media accounts which are used to promote consumer brands.
